One in Four women are victims of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in her lifetime. Emergency Financial Assistance focuses on enhancing the physical and emotional safety of women and girls in our community by closing the gap between surviving and thriving through one-time financial assistance. Assistance funds help homeless women in the very beginning stages of their journey addressing evictions, employment, housing applications, budgeting and more. Most of all these situations require vital documents like birth certificates, social security cards or work clothes and shoes to begin. Assistance funds help secure new documentation or other emergency needs to get them out of harm’s way and into an independent life of safety.
