The Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund offers community volunteer engagement through service in a variety of ways. Previous experience is not required, but a passion for our mission and foundational focus areas is necessary. Foundational focus areas are: economic self-sufficiency; education; leadership development; and safety, dignity, and freedom from violence.
Being on a committee is a great opportunity to gain experience or give back while connecting with local leaders passionate about supporting women and girls!
Our committees are 100% volunteer-based and focus on a variety of projects throughout the year – from education initiatives to fundraisers and beyond. Most committees meet once a month.
Committee
This joint committee (meets monthly 10 to 11 a.m. on 2nd Tuesday) supports the overall mission and work of all through strategic marketing guidance and support if/when needed, as well as tactical execution of all communications efforts. It raises awareness on critical issues that disproportionately and adversely impact women and girls.

Special Events Committee plans and organizes events and experiences to grow community and financial support. Our signature event - the Power of the Purse Luncheon - is the biggest activity this committee works on annually. It involves meal, networking, cash raffle, silent auction, educational speakers and our Women of Achievement honors. (Meets monthly noon to 1 p.m. on 2nd Wednesday)
