Communications Committee (8:15 a.m. on 3rd Thursday or as needed): The Communications Committee supports the overall mission and work of all committees within the Women’s Fund through strategic marketing guidance and support if/when needed, as well as tactical execution of any press/media relations, print or advertising material, social media and/or digital and Web content. The Community Education Committee raises the level of awareness in the community on critical issues that disproportionately and adversely impact women and girls, and to achieve this goal through measurable outcomes.
Community Education Committee (12:15 on 2nd Monday or as needed): The Community Education Committee raises the level of awareness in the community on critical issues that disproportionately and adversely impact women and girls, and to achieve this goal through measurable outcomes.
Development Committee (7 a.m. on 2nd Wednesday or as needed): The Development Committee assures the Women’s Fund has a comprehensive and effective development strategy, a robust prospective donor program, and an engaging stewardship and recognition process.
Grants Committee (3:30 p.m. on 3rd Monday ): The Grants Committee is to review all grant submissions and distribute allocated grant dollars as allocated by the Board of Directors to partner agencies.
Special Events Committee (Noon on 2nd Tuesday or as needed): The Special Events Committee plans and organizes events and experiences to grow community and financial support. This committee focuses heavily on our annual Power of the Purse Fundraising Luncheon, which also features a silent auction.
Office or Administrative Assistant (flexible schedule): Most office volunteer opportunities occur around specialized projects and/or events. Although time commitment can vary, based on project length and deadlines, office volunteers can expect to invest 4 to 12 hours per month for maximum effectiveness. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work from home are a plus of these volunteer opportunities. Some examples include: data entry; mail assistance (stamping, sealing and addressing envelopes by hand; and filing/organizational tasks.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Task Force (Meet as needed): We hope to utilize the time, personal experiences, and expertise of individuals who represent traditionally marginalized groups (people of color, indigenous people, LGBTQIA+ community) who can partner with Board members to examine the current state of the Women’s Fund diversity and inclusion efforts, develop a SWOT analysis of present-day fitness surrounding this topic and propose steps to move the agency forward in service to all women and girls.
Girl-Powered Giving: Meet as needed. This initiative helps us to better understand issues impacting high school-age girls and identify meaningful ways to improve the lives of all girls in our community. Invited high school girls will be allocated money that they will get to decide which organization they can support. Leadership training, community service, and philanthropy education focused on making a positive difference for girls within their community.
Community Engagement: Help as needed at community events.
