Expanding and growing our mission, our vision and our impact

By: Deb Hoffman, your 2019 FDL Area Women’s Fund Board President

Welcome to the Fond du Lac area Women’s Fund website! We are expanding and growing our mission, our vision and our impact on the lives of women and girls in our area. And, in 2019, we have so many accomplishments to be proud of!

Girls on the Run is our signature grant program. This is a program for preteen girls that works to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles thru dynamic lessons and running games that culminates in a 5k run. Learn more about that program and our partnership here.

In late 2018, we facilitated community training in the Green Dot program here in Fond du Lac. It was an intense four day bystander intervention training that has the ultimate goal of shifting community norms to no longer support violence; the shift will result in our community to take action and eventually, a reduction in violence. A steering committee of community participants is leading the effort to train others in the community. Stay tuned for news and announcements.

Leadercast Women inspired us all with heartwarming stories and inspirational examples.  The event proved so popular that we will be hosting it again this year on October 18, 2019.

We have a great website that has more information on all of these events and more.  Please check out all the things we’re doing. We welcome your involvement and thank you for your support.
