Sometimes, things fall apart for something else to fall together. Such was the case when Journey Together Service Dog ran into unforeseen difficulties in utilizing Chromebooks it had purchased with grant monies from our Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund. Knowing the Chromebooks could be utilized elsewhere, Journey Together graciously returned them to the Women’s Fund, which then was able to connect with the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation and gift them to the new SSM Health Treffert Studios, located in a refurbished building located on the Moraine Park Technical College campus, a partner in the effort.
The Chromebooks will be just one of many resources young adults on the autism spectrum will have available to them when visiting Treffert Studios, an innovative 8,500-square-foot facility housing various creative tools and innovative technology. It’s a place where the mission of helping neurodivergent individuals find their passion and express their talents comes to life.
