First Cohort of Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund’s Girl-Powered Giving Program

High School girl students in a classroom

Where girls learn to embrace their power to change the world and become the next generation of thoughtful and effective givers.

We are gathering a group of high school girls from throughout Fond du Lac County to participate in three days of leadership training, community service, and philanthropy education focused on making a positive difference for girls within their community. We need your help to understand what is important to you and other girls your age, what problems girls face, and what we can do together to help improve the lives of all girls in our community.

• Build your network – Work together with girls from other area schools as well as local adult women as your work together to create an impactful grant program!

• Develop your leadership skills – Participate in international leadership development activities and put those skills to practice through the grantmaking process!

• Raise awareness of issues that are important to you and your peers – Make your voice heard and share your perspectives on issues in your community!

• Make a positive impact on your community – You will lead a grantmaking effort that will result in $5,000 going to a local non-profit!
