Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund receives collaboration award

On February 20, 2018, The Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund was awarded the Eden-Schneider award from Envision Greater Fond du Lac. This award recognizes an organization’s collaborative spirit to have a positive impact on employees, their industry or the community. The Eden-Schneider award was founded in recognition of former board chairs Tom Schneider and Dr. Jim Eden. Schneider and Eden collaborated to bring together the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce and Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation, which resulted in the creation of Envision Greater Fond du Lac.

The Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund is honored to accept this award and works to promote positive change in the lives of Fond du Lac Area women and girls through grants to local 501C organizations for programs consistent with its mission. The Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund also creates community understanding of the strengths and challenges of Fond du Lac women and girls. Our initiative – Fond du Lac Says No More – works to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence and sexual assault against women and girls in the Fond du Lac community and the surrounding areas – and increase conversation around intervention and prevention. With the help of our community partners, the Fond du Lac Says No More is working to take a stand as a community to say no more to violence. Our community partners include:
