At our 2025 Power of the Purse we honored Natalie Wood as our Girl of Achievement.
Brief biography of Natalie Wood:
Natalie is a senior at Fond du Lac High School. She’s not only academically gifted, scoring in the top 1% of the ACT and earning the AP Scholar of Distinction, she seeks out opportunities to help others in the community. She was recently accepted into Cornell University .
At Fond du Lac Lac High School, Natalie is a member of Ski Club, Marching Band and National Honor Society, the Student Council, Co-Captain of the Math Team, VP of the German Club, and a Cardinal Community mentor. As a Cardinal Mentor, she presented lessons to Freshman; ensuring they make a healthy transition. She goes above and beyond by checking in with her assigned students during lunch periods.
As a community member, she spent a summer volunteering for the Habitat Humanity Restore in Oshkosh and more than 2 years building and delivering beds with the Sleep in Heavenly Peace organization, which she will tell you more about.
Lastly, Natalie was part of our Girl-Power Giving Program. She participated in leadership training that was focused on community service and philanthropy education, where she focused on making a positive difference for girls in our community.
