Mary Fran Merwin was honored with the 2009 Woman of Achievement Award by the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund for her dedication to education, social justice, and community service.

From 1999 to 2008, Mary Fran served as the principal of Fond du Lac High School, leading with compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to students’ success. Mary Fran enriched the lives of every student, parent, staff, and community member she came in contact with. She was known for being socially just, kind, compassionate, and dedicated.

Her legacy continues to inspire those who knew her and those who benefited from the work she did to serve our local area – she was a true servant leader who uplifted our entire community.
