Dawn Colwin

Dawn Colwin has been a steadfast leader and passionate advocate for community service throughout her life, making a profound impact on Fond du Lac through her extensive involvement in various initiatives. As the 2013 Woman of Achievement Award recipient, Dawn’s commitment to others has earned her well-deserved recognition.

Dawn’s dedication shines through in her leadership on several community boards, including the Loaves and Fishes Board, Service League, and Mid-States Aluminum Foundation Board, along with the MSA Board of Directors. She has played a key role in fundraising efforts for projects such as the Bethany House Ornament Project, the St. Mary’s Springs Academy Second Century Campaign, and the SMSA Capstone Project.

One of Dawn’s most cherished roles is coordinating a group for Loaves and Fishes, where she helps provide meals to those in need, embodying her core belief in compassionate service. Her commitment to bettering her community earned her the Carl Tonjes Volunteer Award in 2003, a testament to her outstanding contributions.

Dorothy Klumpyan

With a heart full of faith, a spirit of service, and a dedication that touched countless lives, Dorothy Klumpyan embodied what it means to be a true Woman of Achievement. As a founder of Loaves and Fishes, a devoted leader in numerous church and community organizations, and a champion for causes close to her heart, Dorothy’s impact reached far and wide. Her unwavering commitment led her to serve as a board member, coordinator, and advocate across many initiatives—from fighting for decency in media to legislative work with the Wisconsin Council of Catholic Women. Whether through mission work, quilting for the needy, or her involvement with Right to Life and Morality in Media, Dorothy’s passion for service was evident in everything she did. 

Dorothy’s remarkable dedication was recognized through numerous honors, including the St. Mary’s Springs H.S. Booster of the Year Award, the Patricia O’Hearn Service Award, the Spirit of Compassion Award, and the Our Lady of Good Counsel Recognition Award. She was also set to receive the very first Mother/Daughter Award presented by the Women of Achievement—an honor befitting her lifelong devotion to faith, family, and community.
